FAQs

1. Do you ship pepper spray to NY, MA, MI, DC, WI, or outside the US?
A

No. Orders for products where there are restrictions will be cancelled or the product deleted from the order. We will email you to confirm this. Certain states make it a crime to sell these products and we will not violate state laws. Just because we do ship to other states does not necessarily mean they are legal to use. It is your responsibility to know and understand the laws of the state and municipalities you are located in. No sales to persons under 18 years of age. 2. Do you offer a Warranty?
A

Yes, Rectify Protection LLC offers a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects on all stainless steel bottles and a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects on all accessories. Normal wear and tear, including scratches and dents, are not covered under the warranty. To report a claim, please send an email to tacbottle@gmail.com with proof of purchase, reason for claim and pictures of your bottle.

3. What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Paypal. Debit cards with a Visa or MasterCard logo are also accepted. Unfortunately, checks, money orders, and AMEX/VISA/MC/DISCOVER gift cards are not accepted.

4. Why does my credit card or debit card show two charges?
A

Sometimes credit/debit card statements contain two transactions, but this is only temporary. When a purchase is made, an authorization charge is placed on credit/debit cards that temporarily hold funds on an account. This is not actually a charge on your card. Once the order has been shipped, this authorization becomes an approval and charges your account. The authorization is released at a maximum of 72 hours from the time of order.

5. Do you charge sales tax?
A

Rectify Protection LLC collects sales tax in states where we have physical presence (currently Oklahoma). We do not collect sales tax in any state NOT listed above because we are not required to collect sales or use tax in these states at this time.

6. Why is my insulated TAC bottle rattling?
A

If you hear a rattle in your Kanteen, it can be one of two things: either the weld (or a piece of it) that retains the integrity of the vacuum space has become dislodged and is now rattling in the space between the double wall insulation, or a small piece of metal called the "getter" has broken free and is now moving about freely at the base of your Kanteen. You can continue to use your bottle normally, it is still completely safe. Both of these components have their respective functions within the internal walls of the Kanteen. A loose getter will not affect the insulation properties of the bottle whereas a broken weld or piece of it can potentially render the insulation useless because the vacuum seal can be compromised.

7. Can I put my TAC bottle in the freezer?
A

We do not encourage putting your TAC bottle into the freezer. The force of liquids expanding as they freeze can cause your bottle to become deformed and can also break the weld that holds the bottle together, so we strongly advise against it. Freezing any TAC bottle will void the warranty guarantee against manufacturer defects.

8. Does the TAC bottle have BPA?
A

No. Tac bottles and accessories are all BPA free. We use 18/8, food-grade stainless steel instead of aluminum because stainless steel is inherently safe and toxin-free. All our caps are BPA-free polypropylene.

9. Can I pick up my item in person?
A

Not at the moment we do not currently have a local retail location so we can’t offer pickup. Large orders may be fine for local pickup but that is on a case by case basis.

10. How is my pepper spray shipped?
A

All Pepper spray or any aerosol must be shipped by ground service UPS only. The US Department of Transportation regulates these items.
